China imported Turkmen gas for $6.63 billion in January-August this year, TASS news agency reported on Wednesday, with reference to the data from China's General Administration of Customs.
According to the report, the figure is about 5 percent more compared to the same period last year.
In January-May this year, Turkmenistan exported $4.25 billion worth of natural gas to China.
Turkmenistan currently exports natural gas to China via three pipelines passing along the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China route.
