During the Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi, representatives from Kazakh, Azerbaijani, and Georgian railways signed an agreement to establish a joint venture on an equal partnership foundation. The objective of this collaboration is to enhance the development of multimodal services along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
The newly formed enterprise, Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd., will be headquartered in the International Financial Centre Astana, Kazakhstan, Temir Zholy press service reports.
As part of their collaborative efforts, the newly established company will offer comprehensive one-stop-shop services, ensure adherence to delivery schedules, and implement a coordinated strategy for advancing multimodal services along the China-Europe/Türkiye-China route. The Trans-Caspian Corridor, or the Middle Corridor, is an international transport route connecting Europe and Asia. It connects the countries of Europe and Asia, passing through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea waters, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
