A delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov paid a working visit to Afghanistan's Herat province on December 16-17 this year, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported on Sunday.
During the meetings, Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi, Mines Minister Shahabuddin Delawar, and Industry and Commerce Minister Nooruddin Azizi discussed matters related to advancing bilateral cooperation across various areas.
In particular, the sides discussed the current state of implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) high-voltage power transmission line, and expansion of Afghanistan's railway infrastructure.
The foreign ministers and members of the delegations of both countries also visited energy and transport facilities constructed by Turkmen and Afghan companies.
