Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced the motto of 2024 as the year of 'Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy' at the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, held at the Ruhyet Palace in Ashgabat on Friday, the official Turkmen media reports.
During the Cabinet of Ministers meeting, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, shared the outcomes of the conducted work to determine the motto and symbol of the coming year.
The Speaker of the Mejlis stated that based on the intention to connect the motto of 2024 with Magtymguly Pyragy and his poem "Pähim-paýhas ummany Magtymguly Pyragy," written by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the Mejlis had prepared a Resolution. This resolution proclaims 2024 as the "Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy" year. The proposal was made after considering suggestions from the members of the Halk Maslahaty, representatives of public organisations, labour collectives, and citizens. Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has approved the proposed motto and logo for the upcoming year.
Emphasising that every new year in the country is followed by announcing a motto and approving an emblem to give it a modern name, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the proposed motto and logo for the coming year.
As part of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wholeheartedly congratulated the participants on the upcoming New Year, wishing everyone great success in their work for the further improvement of the socio-economic living conditions of the population and the comprehensive development of Turkmenistan in the coming year.
