Uzbekistan Route Considered For Turkmen Gas Transport to Tajikistan
Specialists from Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern conducting inspections at facilities.

During a meeting with Tajikistan's Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda, The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed exploring the shipment of Turkmen electricity and natural gas to Tajikistan through Uzbekistan's territory.

As reported by Turkmenistan's official media, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted Turkmenistan's experience in energy partnership.

The statement noted Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to resume such cooperation systematically and to discuss in detail technical, organizational, and other aspects of electricity and natural gas supply, proposing a trilateral meeting involving experts and representatives from Uzbekistan if needed.

The meeting emphasized Turkmenistan's existing cooperation with Tajikistan in supplying Turkmen petroleum products and willingness to increase volumes based on Tajikistan's needs.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also suggested exploring the possibility of deepening agricultural partnership, including mutual supply of agricultural products on a systematic basis, with the involvement of private companies and entrepreneurs from both countries.

At the meeting's conclusion, Chairman of Turkmenistan's Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda expressed confidence that the equal and mutually beneficial partnership between their countries would further strengthen and develop for the benefit of their friendly nations.
