Turkmenistan and Iran Discuss Construction of Third Power Transmission Line

A high-ranking delegation from Turkmenistan met in Tehran with Mehrdad Eklimi, the Director General of the external trade representation of an Iranian company specializing in electricity production and distribution (TAVANIR).

As reported by Tehran Times on Friday, the parties exchanged views on expanding mutual opportunities and facilitating the financing process for a joint venture project to construct and operate the third power transmission line between the two countries.

Mehrdad Eklimi added that a meeting of experts was held at the company's premises aimed at expanding connections between the two countries in relevant areas.

Eklimi emphasized that upon the launch of this power transmission line, the capacity of electrical connections between the countries would triple.

As part of the Turkmen delegation's visit, experts also met to discuss the development and enhancement of cooperation with neighboring countries in the field of exporting electrical equipment, technical, and engineering services.
