The Ambassador of Turkmenistan Toyli Atayev, met with the Rector of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences, Stanislav Nikolaenko, on Tuesday in Kyiv, Ukraine. The parties discussed prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the training of qualified specialists in agricultural fields, including equine studies.
According to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine, the meeting also explored opportunities for establishing connections between the Ukrainian university and the Aba Annayev International Horse Breeding Academy.
Ambassador Atayev highlighted the traditions of Turkmen horse breeding art, recognized by UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, along with modern approaches to preserving and improving the Akhal-Teke horse breed in Turkmenistan.
In turn, Stanislav Nikolaenko discussed the university's educational programs, its technical and material resources, and expressed interest in establishing partnerships in mutually beneficial areas.
Representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine visited the equestrian sports facilities of the university, where activities such as horseback riding, competitive training, open dressage and show jumping tournaments take place. They also visited the Goloseevskaya Educational, Scientific, and Production Laboratory of Apiculture at the university, which trains specialists in apiculture.
