During a forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU, held on Tuesday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the State Concern Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas), and the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The signing took place as part of the implementation of the project "Measures and Policy Dialogue on Climate Change for 2024–2028."

Thematic sessions of the forum will also address the development of inter-parliamentary relations between Turkmenistan and the EU, cooperation in the fields of security, trade, education, green energy, as well as the implementation of programs in these areas.

Established in 2011, GIZ is a development agency affiliated with the Federal Government of Germany. Headquartered in Bonn and Eschborn, the organization operates in over 130 countries.
