Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan Highlight Need to Expand Mutual Supply Range

On Friday in Ashgabat, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Chief of the Presidential Administration, Akylbek Japarov. During the meeting, Akylbek Japarov emphasized the need to increase and diversify mutual supplies.

As reported by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Japarov, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government, also proposed exploring opportunities for joint access to third-country markets.

In turn, the President of Turkmenistan expressed interest in further developing mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, it was noted that in 2023, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $63.546 million.

At the end of the meeting, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov mentioned that the Kyrgyz side is looking forward to visits by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to the Kyrgyz Republic.
