Turkmenistan plans to cultivate Antep pistachio orchards by grafting wild trees, said the Director of the Gaziantep Pistachio Research Institute, Ahmet Shahan.
As reported by Referans gazetesi on Saturday, a cooperation agreement between Turkmenistan and the Pistachio Research Institute was reached during the visit of a Turkmen delegation from various ministries to Gaziantep, Türkiye.
According to the report, during the visit, the delegation learned about global pistachio farming, visited pistachio orchards, and examined product samples.
The Director of the Pistachio Research Institute noted that Turkmenistan has significant potential for pistachio production.
The Pistachio Research Institute in Gaziantep is one of the leading institutions engaged in research and development of pistachio cultivation.
