President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of South Korea Yoon Suk Yeol, who arrived in Ashgabat for a two-day visit, as reported by the official Turkmen media.
Following extended negotiations, a signing ceremony for bilateral agreements took place.
- Agreement on cooperation between the State Concern Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmenistan) and Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd (Republic of Korea) on implementing necessary measures and works for the successful commissioning and stable operation of the polymer plant in Gyyanly;
- Framework agreement on cooperation between the State Concern Turkmengaz (Turkmenistan) and Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd (Republic of Korea) for the design and construction of gas preparation facilities with a production capacity of 10 billion cubic meters and wells, and the acquisition and construction of the fourth phase of the Galkynysh gas field;
- Memorandum of understanding between the Emergency First Aid Center of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the Chilgok Hospital of Kyungpook National University, Republic of Korea;
- Memorandum of understanding between the Scientific-Clinical Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the Chilgok Hospital of Kyungpook National University, Republic of Korea;
- Memorandum of understanding between the Ashgabat Municipality and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of the Republic of Korea regarding cooperation in the field of energy infrastructure and new city development;
- Memorandum of understanding between the State Bank For Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Export-Import Bank of Korea and the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation;
- Memorandum of understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Korea on facilitating the activities of the Joint Commission on Cooperation;
- Memorandum of understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Korea on establishing a base for trade and investment promotion.
The heads of state also signed a Joint Statement following President Yoon Suk Yeol's official visit to Turkmenistan.
After the document signing ceremony, the two leaders addressed representatives of the media.
