Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan JSC (TULM) in conjunction with representatives from COSCO Shipping Group, convened in China on Wednesday to discuss setting up container shipments to Turkmenistan.
According to TULM, the meeting covered issues related to delivering containers from the Chinese company to the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi, establishing a hub in Central Asia, and transporting containers along East-West routes.
The negotiations also focused on specific container shipments along major bilateral routes, namely from the People's Republic of China through Kazakhstan and from the People's Republic of China through the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan, then through the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi to various routes, primarily in Europe.
