Industrial Gas Flow Discovered in Lebap Province
Specialists from Turkmengaz State Concern inspect ongoing operations.

Under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan continues to confidently follow its chosen path of economic development during the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State. The gas industry, particularly the workers of the Turkmengaz State Concern, is making significant contributions to achieving the national goals of increasing hydrocarbon production, marking their achievements each month of the "Year of Wisdom – Magtymguly Pyragy."

On the eve of Turkmenistan's 33rd Independence Anniversary, drillers from the "Türkmengazburawlaýyş" department achieved an industrially significant gas flow from the 54th production well at the Chartak gas field, located in the eastern Lebap region.

The team successfully drilled the well to a depth of 2,450 meters, leveraging state support and extensive professional drilling experience. An industrial gas inflow was achieved following explosive works conducted at depths between 2,362 and 2,350 meters. According to experts, the daily output of the production well is estimated at 224,300 cubic meters of natural gas.

A key advantage of the "blue fuel" extracted from this gas field is the absence of hydrogen sulfide, ensuring the natural gas meets international quality standards. Experts predict high economic returns from this well.

The drilling crew, led by Nury Hommatjayev, efficiently completed the project according to technological standards. The success was also made possible by the contributions of field geologist Abdyrahym Atanepesov, drillers Arazmet Yusubov and Rejepbay Kerimov, and drilling assistants Bahram Kakyshev, Bahram Ergeshov, and well testing assistant Orazgeldi Chariyev.

Currently, the team at the "Türkmengazburawlaýyş" department is accelerating work on wells 110, 253, 260, 265, and 283 at the Galkynysh gas field.
