Turkmenistan, U.S. Highlight Importance of C5+1 Cooperation

On 18 September 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Turkmenistan Elizabeth Rood.

During the meeting, the parties discussed contemporary issues of bilateral partnership between Turkmenistan and the United States on a wide range.

At the same time, the sides noted the importance of interaction within the framework of the “C5+1” format, which includes five Central Asian countries and the United States. It was emphasized that the participants of this format successfully cooperate in such areas as security, economy, energy and environment.
