A sadaqa was held at the Turkmenbashy Spiritual Mosque on Wednesday to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the successful conclusion of the Halk Maslahaty session, with the participation of National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Serdar Berdimuhamedov first laid flowers at the memorial in the mausoleum next to the mosque, followed by a reading of the Ayat-Tovir prayer by the Mufti of Turkmenistan in memory of the country’s first President, Saparmyrat Niyazov, according to official media of Turkmenistan.

During their visit, the leaders also reviewed the architectural features of the recently renovated mosque and the surrounding improvements. The mosque, with a capacity of 10,000, underwent a major modernization supported by the Head of State, incorporating high-quality materials in both its exterior and interior design.

After the sadaqa, the National Leader, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, and the President warmly bid farewell to attendees before departing.
