Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić on Thursday, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, to discuss opportunities for strengthening trade and economic ties.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, both sides expressed a mutual desire to deepen bilateral relations and improve the legal framework for further cooperation.
A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.
On the same day, Rashid Meredov also met with Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský.
