On October 3, 2024, a meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty was held in Ashgabat, chaired by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. According to Turkmenistan's official media, the meeting reviewed the outcomes of the recent Halk Maslahaty session.

Members of the Presidium, the Chairperson of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, and representatives of political parties and public organizations participated. The agenda focused on tasks arising from the recent Halk Maslahaty session, which was held ahead of the 33rd anniversary of the country’s independence. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the achievements discussed at the session form the foundation for future development.

A key item on the agenda was the Presidential Decree declaring 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Rashid Meredov highlighted the importance of this initiative, aimed at strengthening neutrality and advancing the country's progress.

Vice-Premier Bayramgul Orazdurdyyeva outlined significant efforts made under the Saglyk State Program in the healthcare sector, including the construction of diagnostic and treatment centers, such as the Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment, which reflects international recognition of Turkmenistan's healthcare model.

Attention was also given to the development of the city of Arkadag. Head of the State Committee for Construction, D. Orazov, presented the adopted concept for the city's development for 2024–2052, which emphasizes harmonious and sustainable growth across all systems to create a comfortable living environment for residents.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan remains a vital governing body, highlighting the importance of engaging with the people to achieve collective well-being and prosperity.
