Trade between Turkmenistan and China reached $7.188 billion from January to August of this year, as reported by the General Administration of Customs of China.

In August 2024 alone, the mutual trade between the two countries totaled $956.033 million.

Turkmenistan's exports accounted for the majority of this trade. During the January-August period, Turkmenistan exported goods worth $6.576 billion to China. In the same timeframe, the country imported approximately $612.416 million in Chinese products.

Natural gas, transported through pipelines, remains the primary component of Turkmenistan's exports to China.
