President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier following the tragic incident at the Christmas market in Magdeburg, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan on Sunday.

In his message, the head of state expressed heartfelt support for the families of the deceased and wished a swift recovery to the injured. President Berdimuhamedov emphasized that during this difficult time, the people and government of Turkmenistan share in the grief and pain of the loss.

The incident, which occurred on Friday, claimed the lives of at least four people and resulted in over 200 injuries, according to reports from Euronews.

Magdeburg held a memorial service on Saturday to honor the victims of the attack, gathering hundreds of city residents and representatives of the authorities.
