President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the State Program for Ensuring Civil Aviation Security during an online Cabinet meeting on Saturday.

Mammethan Chakyyev, the Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency, presented the document, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

The program includes legal and organizational measures that comply with the standards and norms of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), aimed at enhancing the safety, regularity, and efficiency of flights.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of consistently strengthening the material and technical base of the aviation sector and highlighted the focus on aviation security. By signing the resolution approving the program, he tasked the relevant agency's head with its implementation through a digital system.

The government meeting also addressed several other important state matters, leading to corresponding decisions.
