On the first day of the new year, a boy was born at the Maternal and Child Health Center in Arkadag, becoming the first newborn of 2025 in Turkmenistan, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.
The family named the boy Parahat, which means ‘Peace,’ in honor of the motto for the new year—'International Year of Peace and Trust.’ He weighed 4,100 grams and measured 54 cm. Both the mother and child remain stable and feel well.
The newborn’s family received gifts from the President of Turkmenistan to celebrate and express goodwill.
This joyful moment symbolizes hope and peace as the new year begins.
