Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia, met with Nino Tsilosani, Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, on Feb. 11 in Tbilisi. They discussed the parliamentary delegation’s visit to Turkmenistan in April 2024, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia.

Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, led the delegation, which provided an effective platform for regular dialogue and the identification of priority areas for cooperation, particularly during the meeting of the Speakers of Parliaments. The interaction between the legislative bodies of the two countries played a key role in developing comprehensive Turkmen-Georgian cooperation.

During the meeting, they highlighted the importance of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group as an effective tool for fostering mutual understanding between the peoples and promoting constructive partnerships.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their partnership across all areas, discussed the current state and prospects of Turkmen-Georgian relations, and emphasized significant opportunities to enhance cooperation in the trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, transport, and energy sectors.
