Euronews Interested in Launching New Projects With Turkmenistan

National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with Pedro Vargas David, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews, on Thursday in Ashgabat. During the meeting, the head of the European channel expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan and launching new projects aimed at deepening the partnership.

The sides discussed the possibility of strengthening cooperation in covering Turkmenistan's international initiatives focused on peace and good-neighborliness. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the role of information exchange, highlighting the importance of conveying the country’s position to an international audience through Euronews, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

Special attention was given to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and the upcoming International Forum, which will take place in Ashgabat on December 12 this year.

Pedro Vargas David expressed interest in strengthening cooperation and emphasized his readiness to implement new projects, including exchanging experience with Turkmen journalists. He also mentioned that the Ahal-teke horses made a strong impression on him and highlighted Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's contribution to preserving the breed.

Additionally, Pedro Vargas David visited the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet, where he noted that it is a great honor for Euronews to promote the unique art of Turkmenistan in international media.

At the end of the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov wished Pedro Vargas David success in his future work.
