The Seydi Cotton Spinning Factory produced 2,267 tons of yarn worth 65.9 million manats in 2024, as reported by the Türkmen gündogary newspaper published Thursday.
Guljan Haytyyeva, the factory’s economist, reported that the factory sold 1,719 tons of the total production, including 152 tons that were exported.
The factory has produced 338 tons of yarn worth 11.9 million manats since the beginning of 2025, with 110 tons directed to the domestic market.
170 professionals work at the factory. The technological process involves several stages of cleaning and processing cotton fiber, resulting in the production of 27th and 34th-grade yarns.
Launched in 2014, the factory operates an automated production system with an annual capacity of 6,000 tons of yarn. The factory exports finished products through the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan to five countries: Belarus, Türkiye, the Russian Federation, Belgium, and Kyrgyzstan.
