Turkmenistan Invites European Partners for Renewable Energy Cooperation

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the first Central Asia – European Union Summit on Friday in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, invited European partners to engage in substantive discussions on partnership opportunities in renewable energy, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

"Turkmenistan is firmly committed to a serious energy dialogue with the EU at a new, substantive level and is ready to take practical steps," the head of Turkmenistan said.

The Turkmen side expressed its readiness to launch joint projects in the field of green energy and explore cooperation prospects in wind, solar, and hydrogen energy.

President Berdimuhamedov emphasized that a key component of strategic cooperation is the creation of the East-West and West-East transport and communication corridors.

Turkmenistan is prepared to offer the capacity of the Turkmenbashy seaport on the Caspian coast and the country's road infrastructure for the implementation of this project. Additionally, the importance of constructing underwater infrastructure in the Caspian was noted.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov also attended the opening ceremony of the international forum Central Asia Facing Global Climate Challenges: Consolidation for Common Prosperity.
