Representatives of the business community of Russia’s Volgograd region held talks with executives of the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Textile Complex in Bayramali and the Kaka Textile Complex to discuss the prospects for exporting Turkmen textile products to the region, as reported by the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.
The parties also explored the potential for launching joint textile projects and strengthening mutual trade ties.
The meeting was initiated by the Economic Policy Committee of Volgograd with the support of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan, Russian Federation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants reaffirmed their interest in expanding cooperation and pursuing joint initiatives in the textile industry.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of diversifying and increasing textile production volumes as part of the country's economic development strategy.
