Farms across Turkmenistan’s Lebap velayat produced more than 26,700 tons of vegetables, about 824.4 tons of fruits and berries, and approximately 18,800 tons of potatoes during the first five months of this year, Türkmen gündogary newspaper reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the region saw significant year-on-year growth in agricultural output: vegetable production increased by 36.6%, fruits and berries by 14.9%, and potatoes by 2.7%.
Additionally, farms in the region recorded the birth of more than 1,257,600 lambs and kids, successfully meeting their planned targets. As of now, Lebap is home to 561,900 head of cattle, 3,015,600 head of small livestock, 4,183,700 poultry, 6,000 camels, and 2,800 mules.
During the same period, local farms produced 63,400 tons of meat (live weight), 228,300 tons of milk, and 108.1 million eggs.
