Construction has begun on a new general education school designed to accommodate 600 students in the northern part of Dashoguz city, within the Gulistan residential area. The project, carried out by the private enterprise Mäkäm, covers a 3.5-hectare site, as reported by Turkmenistan's state news agency on Tuesday.
The new two-story school will meet modern educational standards and feature spacious classrooms, administrative offices, a library, assembly and sports halls, a cafeteria, and separate vocational workshops for boys and girls. It will also be equipped with language labs and computer classrooms to support foreign language learning and digital literacy.
The surrounding grounds will include an artificial turf football field, educational areas for geography, zoology, and traffic safety, sports zones, and utility facilities. The school territory will be landscaped, greened, and fitted with outdoor lighting.
Located adjacent to a new kindergarten, the school will form part of a unified educational cluster within the residential district. The use of advanced technology and modern teaching methods is expected to foster an environment conducive to the intellectual and creative development of students.
Turkmenistan's Dashoguz Velayat is actively expanding its educational network. The region currently operates more than 500 schools, including boarding schools. Priorities include creating a modern learning environment, from digitalizing schools to enhancing safety measures and improving material and technical resources.
