Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Romania, Annamamet Annaev, held a meeting with Doru-Clodian Frunzulică, Vice President of the Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade. During the talks, the Romanian side handed over updated investment materials aimed at Turkmen entrepreneurs interested in medium- and long-term projects.

In turn, the Turkmen side invited Romanian companies to take part in international exhibitions, business forums and tenders scheduled in Turkmenistan, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania reported Thursday.

The main focus of the meeting was preparations for the 8th session of the Turkmen-Romanian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, which will take place in Bucharest in fall 2025. Both sides reaffirmed their interest in expanding economic ties, highlighting key areas such as investment, trade, digitalization, energy and transportation.

Ambassador Annaev noted that Turkmenistan consistently pursues a policy of economic modernization and adheres to international standards in the investment sphere. Vice President Frunzulică emphasized Turkmenistan’s potential for developing energy-intensive industries and expressed readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation.
