National Leader of the Turkmen People and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during a working visit to Balkan province on Thursday, held a meeting to prepare for the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3). One of the key topics discussed was the implementation of measures to ensure public order and security during the international forum.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty stressed the importance of coordinating law enforcement agencies and maintaining strict control by military and security bodies, according to official Turkmen media.
The meeting also addressed organizational and infrastructural issues, including the improvement of the Avaza National Tourist Zone, sanitation, round-the-clock emergency health care services, and providing comfortable conditions for foreign delegations.
Special attention was given to the cultural program of the event. The National Leader recommended organizing friendship concerts and festivals featuring the national cuisines of Central Asian countries, as well as ensuring extensive coverage of the forum in mass media and online platforms.
During his visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took a boat trip on the Caspian Sea and inspected the coastal infrastructure. Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev, reported on the readiness of patrol vessels tasked with maintaining order in the coastal zone and maritime ecosystems during the conference.
Following the working visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov flew back to Ashgabat, where he was greeted by official representatives of the country.
