As part of the “Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan and Investments in 2025,” Turkmenistan will allocate 200 million manats to the modernization of the textile industry, the country’s official media reported on Thursday.

The funds will be directed toward the construction of new production facilities aimed at increasing output and improving product quality.

Turkmenistan’s textile sector continues to demonstrate sustainable growth, with a strong focus on exports. Enterprises across the country are introducing modern technologies, including automated production lines and equipment sourced from Belgium, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Japan. Production facilities operate in accordance with international standards, holding certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.

Textile products under national brands such as Gala, Ýeňiş, Jeýtun, and Mäne are in high demand in both domestic and foreign markets.

A new textile complex is planned in the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi District of Daşoguz Province. The facility will specialize in the production of cotton yarn, terry and cotton fabrics, and finished garments. It will focus on the manufacture of eco-friendly, import-substituting products, while also creating new jobs and enhancing the region’s export capacity.

Digital platforms also play a growing role in market development. The Dokma online store offers access to a wide selection of textile and footwear products for consumers across the country.

By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technologies and sustainable practices, Turkmenistan continues to strengthen its position in the global textile market.
