January–June: Turkmenistan–Mangystau Trade Hits $9.2M

The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan’s Mangystau Region reached $9.2 million in the first half of 2025, marking a 19% increase compared to the same period last year.

Kazakhstan’s exports amounted to $2 million, while imports from Turkmenistan totaled $7.2 million, according to the regional administration.

Currently, 20 joint ventures with Turkmen participation operate in the region, engaged in the trade of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, civil construction, and the production of construction stone.

Total trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan reached $554 million in 2024. Both countries aim to increase mutual trade to $1 billion in the coming years, according to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
