Andrea Stegher, President of the International Gas Union (IGU), has confirmed his in-person participation as a keynote speaker at the upcoming OGT 2025 Conference, set to take place in Ashgabat from October 22 to 24, 2025.

According to the organizers, Mr. Stegher’s participation is intended to support discussions on the future of natural gas as a key component of the global low-carbon energy transition.

To date, more than 300 international delegates from 40 countries have confirmed attendance, including executives from national and international oil and gas companies, technology leaders, and representatives of financial institutions.

The OGT 2025 agenda will cover a wide range of strategic topics, including energy security, gas monetization, infrastructure connectivity, decarbonization, digitalization of operations, project financing, localization, and workforce development.

Turkmenistan, which holds the world’s fourth-largest reserves of natural gas, continues to strengthen international cooperation, modernize its infrastructure, and invest in cleaner and smarter energy solutions. Hosting the milestone edition of OGT in Ashgabat underscores the country’s commitment to meaningful, forward-looking dialogue in the energy sector.
