Poet Rahman Dowletow Awarded the Türkmeniň Altyn Asyry Prize

Poet Rakhman Dowletow has been named a laureate of the Türkmeniň Altyn asyry prize for his outstanding poems and verses, as part of the competition announced by the President of Turkmenistan, according to official state media reports on Friday.

Under a resolution signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Dowletow was presented with the President’s Gold Chain and a cash prize of 3,500 manats.

Rahman Dowletow's body of work is known for its rich and diverse themes. His use of accessible and artistic language resonates with readers, while the topical relevance of his poetry makes it relatable to a broad audience.

A deep love for the homeland, loyalty to the people, and respect for the country's leadership—including the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov—runs through all of his work.

Nearly all of Dowletow's poems encourage people to be kind, to respect one another, and to cherish every corner of their native land with heartfelt devotion.

Last year, a new book by Dowletow was published by the State Publishing Service of Turkmenistan. The four-part collection is imbued with patriotic spirit and national values, further enhancing the educational impact of his writings. His continuous pursuit of creative growth and artistic excellence has made Rakhman Dowletow one of Turkmenistan’s most prominent contemporary poets.
