Trade cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation is reaching a new, more practical level. A working meeting was held at the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation to discuss improving customs administration and declaring textiles, key export product of Turkmenistan.

Representatives of the FCS and importing companies directly dealing with high-quality Turkmen textiles participated in the discussion.

The meeting emphasized the strategic importance of Turkmen textiles for the Russian market and the parties' shared commitment to simplifying trade operations. Following the discussion, specific steps were agreed upon to optimize imports.

The primary focus is on actively engaging businesses in the improvement process: representatives of importing companies will soon submit detailed proposals to the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation for improving customs clearance practices.

These proposals will not only be taken into account but also thoroughly analyzed and incorporated into future cooperation between the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation and the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

This approach demonstrates a high level of constructive dialogue and the commitment of the customs services of both countries to finding effective solutions to eliminate any potential barriers. Active engagement with importers will create the most favorable and transparent conditions for the stable and long-term presence of Turkmen products in the Russian market.
