On the sidelines of the meeting between Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent, the energy sector, particularly the gas industry, was identified as a priority direction of cooperation between the two countries.
The President of Turkmenistan, noting the effectiveness of the development of cooperation in the gas sector, stated his readiness to expand mutually beneficial collaboration based on mutually acceptable conditions. The head of state placed special emphasis on the importance of continuing discussions on issues of strategic cooperation in the gas sphere.
The high-level meeting also highlighted the importance of effectively utilizing the existing potential for developing partnerships in sectors such as agriculture, the chemical industry, mechanical engineering, metallurgy, the construction industry, environmental technologies, textile and pharmaceutical industries.
