Preparations for New Year celebrations have begun in Turkmenistan. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annamammedov reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday during an online government meeting on the work carried out to decorate the capital, official Turkmen media reported.
In Ashgabat, New Year trees will be installed in major cultural centers, along avenues, in parks, and at venues for cultural events. Special attention is being given to the Main Tree in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center and the surrounding area.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized that all conditions are being created to ensure cultural leisure for residents and visitors of the capital, highlighting the importance of high-quality decorations. Relevant instructions were addressed to the Deputy Prime Minister.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyyev reported on preparations for International Neutrality Day and the New Year celebrations. Festive trade will begin on December 5 in shopping centers, markets, and stores across the provinces, Ashgabat, and Arkadag, with plans to organize mobile trading points.
The President stressed the need for proper preparation to fully meet public demand for food products, including fruits, vegetables, and melons, and instructed authorities to ensure efficient operation of markets and mobile trading points.
The meeting also addressed other important matters of state, with relevant decisions adopted.
