Рop-up stores, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan

Holiday trading has begun across Turkmenistan ahead of the New Year and International Neutrality Day. Fairs and pop-up retail outlets offering holiday-themed goods and souvenirs have opened in Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag, and the country’s regions.

Visitors can purchase food products, including flour-based goods, grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, honey melon, and confectionery. Gift sets, souvenirs, calendars, and New Year decorations are also on sale, including items bearing the symbols of 2026, the Year of the Red Fire Horse, Turkmen offical media reported on Monday.

The Altyn Asyr marketing center is showcasing textiles featuring national motifs and International Neutrality Day emblems, along with unique souvenirs reflecting the country’s cultural heritage.

The fairs will operate until the holiday, giving customers an opportunity to shop for gifts while supporting local producers.

The holiday trading events are being held on the instructions of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
