Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan (CCIT) met Tuesday in Ashgabat with Latvian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Girts Jaunzems to discuss cooperation in trade fairs and exhibitions and the coordination of business events.
The parties praised the current level of interaction between Turkmenistan and Latvia and explored opportunities to further develop trade and economic ties, according to CCIT.
Both sides reviewed proposals to increase trade turnover, implement joint projects in logistics and transport, expand production, and strengthen ties between their business communities.
Ambassador Jaunzems expressed interest in opportunities in the Turkmen market. CCIT representatives confirmed their readiness to develop new areas of cooperation.
Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Latvia were established in 1992.
