Belarusian company Beltamozhservice has launched a new express rail route for exporting goods to Iran, passing through Turkmenistan, the STV television channel reported Tuesday.

The service provides international container shipments along the route Belarus — Russia — Kazakhstan — Turkmenistan — Iran.

Delivery takes 13 to 15 days, making it one of the fastest and most convenient options for transporting goods in the region.

Natalya Kananovich, deputy general director of Beltamozhservice, told STV that the route will help diversify exports, strengthen the position of Belarusian suppliers on international markets, and expand the geographic reach of domestic products.

In December, the first Iranian container train transited Turkmenistan and proceeded to Bukhara.
