President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the people of Bahrain on the occasion of the country’s National Day, Turkmen state media reported Tuesday.
In the message, Berdimuhamedov praised the level of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries and expressed confidence that constructive engagement between Ashgabat and Manama would continue to develop in the interests of both nations.
The Turkmen president wished King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa good health and well-being and extended wishes of peace, sustainable progress and prosperity to the people of Bahrain.
Bahrain’s National Day is observed Dec. 16 and marks the country’s independence in 1971, when it ended British protectorate rule and Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa became the kingdom’s first ruler.
