Turkmenistan will take part in the international GREENxEXPO 2027 exhibition, scheduled to be held in the Japanese city of Yokohama. The announcement followed a meeting between Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, held Saturday in Tokyo.
The Japanese side welcomed Turkmenistan’s confirmation of participation and expressed readiness to work jointly to ensure the exhibition’s successful organization, according to a press release from Japan’s Foreign Ministry.
GREENxEXPO 2027, also known as the International Horticultural Exhibition, will run from March 19 to Sept. 26, 2027. The event’s main theme, “Scenery of the Future for Happiness,” highlights priorities of sustainable development, harmony with nature and the promotion of a green economy.
Organizers expect the exhibition to attract between 10 million and 15 million visitors. The expo is positioned as an international platform to showcase Japan’s innovations and traditions in horticulture, agriculture and ecology, as well as to promote the exchange of experience and knowledge in sustainable development.
