One of the top priorities for Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector in 2026 is the successful implementation of the Serhetabat–Herat section of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) pipeline, known as Arkadagyň ak ýoly, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov said at a government meeting Friday.
According to the deputy prime minister’s report, another key focus is the next phase of development at the Galkynysh gas field, Turkmenistan’s official media reported.
State concerns Türkmengaz and Türkmennebit are tasked with developing oil and gas fields, producing natural and associated gas, crude oil, and gas condensate, manufacturing liquefied gas, exporting Turkmen “blue fuel” to international markets, and processing oil for domestic and foreign consumers.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to steadily increase oil and gas production and make efficient use of the capacities of sector enterprises.
The meeting also addressed several other key national issues, and decisions were adopted accordingly.
