15th International Exhibition “Turkmentel-2022,” November 10–11, 2022, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan

Telecommunications services and internet access in Turkmenistan continue to expand for both professional and everyday use amid the growth of digital professions and remote work, official Turkmen media reported Wednesday.

National mobile operator TM CELL, operating under Altyn Asyr Closed Joint-Stock Company, offers a range of mobile internet packages. For intensive use, customers can subscribe to a 20GB package designed for multimedia content, videoconferencing and online services. The package can be activated via the USSD command *0850*200#.

State-owned telecommunications company Turkmentelekom is also expanding its TELECOMWIFI wireless access network, providing unlimited internet access outside homes and offices. Wi-Fi hotspots operate in shopping centers in Ashgabat, city markets, Ashgabat International Airport, and health resort facilities across the country.

TELECOMWIFI tariffs include hourly, daily and monthly payment options, as well as a separate 10-day plan for sanatoriums. Information on pricing, hotspot locations and customer support is available by calling 071.

The expansion of digital infrastructure is aimed at improving access to internet services and broadening user choice in selecting suitable connectivity options.
