Turkmenistan’s ambassador to Türkiye, Mekan Ishangulyyev, met Thursday in Ankara with Gursel Baran, chairman of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to discuss ways to expand cooperation between small and medium-sized businesses, Turkmenistan’s official media reported.

The talks focused on strengthening ties between entrepreneurs, including participation in exhibitions and business forums and attracting mutually beneficial investment.

The sides also reviewed prospects for broader trade and economic cooperation, including in the energy, transport and logistics, agriculture, construction and food sectors.

The officials discussed establishing sustained contacts between business communities in both countries and opportunities to participate in joint investment projects.

An exhibition of Turkish export goods is scheduled for Feb. 10-12, 2026, in Ashgabat.
