Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for medical activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for Children in Need of Guardianship, met with Jalpa Ratna, representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Turkmenistan, to discuss joint projects, official media reported on Saturday.

The meeting focused on prospects for further cooperation in the interests of children and the implementation of joint initiatives.

Atabayeva highlighted the foundation’s role in humanitarian efforts providing medical and social support. Ratna noted that Turkmenistan’s policies on maternal and child health align with global Sustainable Development Goals and expressed readiness to deepen collaboration under the existing memorandum of understanding.

Both officials reaffirmed their commitment to continue constructive dialogue.

Founded in March 2021, the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for Children in Need of Guardianship has developed partnerships with international organizations with similar missions. The foundation has assisted children affected by natural disasters abroad and provided medical care to children in need across Turkmenistan.
