Turkmenistan has expressed interest in organizing specialized business missions to the Republic of Belarus to explore opportunities for expanding cooperation in transportation, information technology, and light industry. The announcement was made by Mergen Gurdov, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan (CCIT), during a meeting with Belarusian Ambassador Stanislav Chepurny on Thursday in Ashgabat, according to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
Both sides discussed the current state of trade and economic cooperation and its future prospects. They focused on attracting Belarusian entrepreneurs to participate in the international exhibition Agro Pack Turkmenistan-2026, scheduled in Ashgabat from May 12 to 14, 2026, CCIT said.

Officials also explored the possibility of Turkmen companies taking part in the Belagro-2026 agro-industrial exhibition in Minsk, scheduled for June 2–6, 2026, including the option for Turkmenistan to have its own pavilion.
Both sides emphasized that international exhibitions play a key role in strengthening business ties, fostering new partnerships, and increasing bilateral trade, and expressed their readiness to continue cooperation in this area.
Earlier, the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan presented an expanded schedule of congresses and exhibitions planned for 2026.
