Afghanistan expressed interest in studying and applying Turkmenistan’s experience in the agricultural sector, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdul Ghani Baradar said after a meeting with Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov in Herat.
Baradar noted that Turkmenistan has achieved significant results in agriculture, drawing the interest of Afghan authorities. Kabul hopes to put this experience into practice and strengthen cooperation between relevant agencies in both countries, according to a post on Baradar’s X account.
The talks focused on the implementation of key regional initiatives, including the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) gas pipeline and the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan (TAP) electricity transmission project.
