Russia’s Bashkortostan Sends First Rapeseed Meal to Turkmenistan

The first railway consignment of granulated rapeseed meal was sent from Bashkortostan, Russia, to Turkmenistan last week, the Uchalinskaya Gazeta reported Monday.

The product was produced at an oil extraction plant and inspected by Rosselkhoznadzor specialists.

Three pilot batches of the high-protein feed supplement for livestock and poultry, totaling 213 tons, were cleared. Russian laboratory tests confirmed the meal meets Turkmenistan’s phytosanitary requirements.

The shipments are part of the International Cooperation and Export national project, which supports entrepreneurship and develops non-commodity exports.
