Turkmen President Meets With Türkiye’s Trade Minister
Türkiye’s Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Türkiye’s Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat in Ashgabat during the minister’s official visit, according to an official state media.

Bolat underscored the importance of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality for regional peace and said the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a high-level forum marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality in December helped elevate bilateral political and diplomatic ties.

The Turkish minister praised Turkmenistan’s economic progress and said his visits reflect the results of policies pursued under the president’s leadership across multiple sectors.

Berdimuhamedov said Türkiye is among Turkmenistan’s close brotherly states and described bilateral relations as long-term and strategic, based on mutual respect and support.

He said the Turkish export goods exhibition underway in Ashgabat would help strengthen trade and economic cooperation, expand business ties with Turkish companies and encourage investment.

Bolat said Ankara attaches priority to expanding economic cooperation with Turkmenistan and thanked the president for supporting the exhibition.

The two sides expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of bilateral economic ties and exchanged best wishes.
